Yesterday, my wife and I decided to take our boys sledding at a nearby forest preserve.  After we hiked to the top of the hill, panting and all, my wife, being in the third trimester of the pregnancy, decides to sit this one out, and hold Christopher, our 1 year old, so little Manuel and I can experience the rush of flying down the pretty steep hill.  Little Manuel was bubbling with excitement as we sat in the sled, scooting our way to the edge of No Return!  Just before we reach the edge, I turned the camera on us, and this is what I saw- my son grinning ear to ear!

I have experienced a lot of wonderful things in my life, but few things compare to the utter joy that floods my heart whenever I see my sons smile like this.   A friend of mine wrote this, "An ice cream cone is $1.29; An Avatar action figure is $15.00; the new Jordan's are $220; but, spending time with dad in the snow...Priceless!"

To every dad out there who has been busy with work, with hustling, and with life, I respect your hustle, and know that you are doing what you are doing to create a better life for your family.  Trust me, I know fully what that means.  Having said that, I've heard several people who were at the end of their lives say that if they could live life over, they would have spent less time working, and more time with their family.  Don't wait til the end of your life to learn that lesson.  Spend time with your babies/children, because before you know it, they'll be grown and gone, and living their own lives.

I don't know if my boys (and girl) will want to spend time with me later like they do now, but I do know that as long as I have them with me, as long as I am their super-man, I am going to live each moment to the fullest, making many memories, enjoying what money can't buy. I encourage you to do the same.
